Parent Activity Committee

Parent Activity Committee

The Meritor Academy Parent Activity Committee (PAC) is a nonprofit organization made up of parents that work throughout the school year to enrich an interactive and supporting environment for families, students, and the school. This organization shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes, specifically, to encourage the communication and participation among families, the community, and school. The PAC sponsors family/school activities and fundraising events to enrich our children's environment, education and growth at the Meritor Academy in North Andover, MA.

The PAC is only successful when parents, families, and staff work together by attending PAC meetings, volunteering for committees/events, supporting fundraising programs and being involved in the education and well being of the Meritor students.

The Meritor Academy Parent Activity Committee is open to all Meritor Academy parents, guardians and staff. Typically, the PAC meets one evening every month.

Watch for school flyers, email and bulletin boards for more information.

Halloween Bake Sale October 26th thru October 30th

The PAC is hosting a Halloween Bake Sale beginning Monday, October 26th.  Donations of baked treats are greatly appreciated!  Please drop off donated treats at any time on Monday, October 26th or Tuesday, October 27th.

We ask that all treats be nut-free and that you individually wrap each item for quick, easy sales.  The bake sale will run until the treats run out!  Proceeds will be used to fun future PAC sponsored events for our children.

Meritor Night at Imajine That! Friday, November 13th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

The PAC has planned its annual fun family social night for Meritor families at Imajine That - an interactive educational play space on the Riverwalk in Lawrence above Salvatore's Restaurant.  This event includes the use of the play space from 5-8 PM and pizza and drinks for the whole family.

*Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment by November 9th are required for this event since we must provide attendance numbers and payment in advance to Imajine That.  Please look for a sign up sheet at the front desk at the school.  Payment of $20.00 per family should be left at the front desk at the time of sign up in an envelope labeled: PAC Imajine That Event.

David Polansky, Music Performer Thursday, November 12th

The PAC is once again hosting children's music performer David Polansky to come to the school and perform for the children.  This interactive musical adventure is a favorite at Meritor!

Your child may attend the performance even if they do not attend school on Thursdays.  Please check with Bunny or Gina to confirm if you will need to stay with your child during the performance.

Meritor Family Day on the Polar Express Saturday, December 19th at 3:15 PM

The PAC is planning a family day this holiday season on the Polar Express.  This magical train ride that leaves Newburyport and goes to the "North Pole" is based on the classic story The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.  The PAC has been offered tickets before sale to the general public, so please check your mailboxes this week for further information on this event.
